Obituary of William Gordon Smith

SMITH, William Gordon Nov 29, 1925-March 11, 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to William Gordon Smith on the early morning of March 11, 2013, in his 88th year. Forever and always loved by his wife, and best friend of nearly 63 years June. Loving brother of Ron, proud father of Sue and Sharon (Mark) and beloved grandfather of Alanna, Caylyn, Ayslynn, Alyssa and Shanna. Dedicated employee of Hydro One for over 42 years, Gord started in the office and worked his way to the top. Gord will be remembered by all who knew him as a caring man with a big heart and a bigger sense of humour, who loved his wife, family and friends. Proud and dedicated member of the Philpott Memorial Church, Gord lived his life serving the Lord. Friends and family will be received at the Donald V Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at Philpott Memorial Church, 84 York Blvd. Hamilton. n In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Philpott Memorial Church would be appreciated by the family.
