Obituary of Joyce Roberta Smith

SMITH, Joyce Roberta Peacefully surrounded by family at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Smith. Loving Mother of the late Wayne (Gin), Karen (Bruce), Colin (Dianne), Heather (Paul). Caring Grandma to 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. K. Walker, Dr. S. Winemaker and Joanne from the Stonechurch Family Health Centre. Great appreciation to Bonnie and VON staff, Hanan and Zanit from Can Care for making her comfortable. It was Joyce's wish to be at home, thank you all for making this happen with your expert care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Service to follow.
