Obituary of Alex Smith

SMITH, Alex Peacefully, at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, February 12, 2011 with his family by his side in his 87th year. Loving father of Bruce (Pat), Sonya, Leroy (Terri) and Brian. Grandpa and Great-grandpa of Brad and Lisa (Emily, Kerri), Mike, John and Cathy (Daniel, Douglas). Survived by his brother Donald. Predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice and son Don. Alex was owner and operator of A.F. Smith Mowers for 65 years. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations to Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
