Obituary of Edward Shynal
SHYNAL, Edward - At St. Peter's Hospital on Sunday, November 25, 2007, Edward Shynal in his 90th year, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family. Edward, along with his wife Jennie, (predeceased November 2004), dedicated this life to his family, giving his heart and soul to his joyful work, in providing unconditional love, nurturing, guidance and inspiration to their five children. Edward will be lovingly missed by his children Edwin and wife Brenda (Nova Scotia), Beverly and husband Mark (Dundas), Janet and husband Joe (Stoney Creek), Marion (Ottawa) and Bryan (Stoney Creek), grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Jeff (Nova Scotia), Christopher (Nova Scotia), Carolyn and Alexander (Stoney Creek) and great-grandchildren Ruth, Grace and Gabriel (Nova Scotia). Eddie was quietly passionate about his wife and family devoting himself and his many talents to providing a wonderful nurturing home environment. Eddie led by example, demonstrating his integrity, honesty, compassion, dedication and generosity through his actions and personal sacrifices in his everyday life. Eddie shared his creative talents in building, woodworking and gardening and interests in nature, cars and travel as a further means of instilling his values, his keen sense of self-reliance and positive outlook within his family and others. Eddie also enjoyed many happy memories and friendships from his long serving employment with both the Reliable Lumber Company and Dofasco. Edward will live on through the lives of his family and friends and will always be lovingly remembered. Special Thanks to caregivers, Mable, Victoria, Maria, Rosa, Judy, Vesna and friend Cindy. Family and friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, November 29 at 11 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter's Hospital or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Rest in peace dear "Father", until we meet again.
