Obituary of Robert McGregor Shaver

SHAVER, Robert McGregor It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) McGregor Shaver. Bob is survived by his sister Joyce (Al Austin), sister-in-law Carole Shaver, his children Randy and Cathy (Kris and Amanda), Paul and Audrey, Brenda and Dan Cole (Daniel) and Ronele and Shawn Curry. One of Bob's greatest pleasures was his grandchildren; Ryan and Chantel, Cameron and Laura, Loni and Steve, Paula, Colin and Cassandra, Spencer, Hannah, Lisa and great-grandchildren Hawksley and Jacob. Bob is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor, his mother Clara and his brother Aley. Much loved and respected Uncle to many nieces and nephews. His charm and charisma will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched both in and out of the pool hall. Special thanks to Dr. Creatchman, the Juravinski Cancer Clinic and all agencies associated with them including nurses and staff of the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bob's life will be held Saturday, April 5th, 1:00 p.m. at the Stoney Creek Royal Canadian Legion, 12 King Street, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
