Obituary of Caroline Semenuk

SEMENUK, Caroline “Carrie” On September 27, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Carrie, at age 92, left us to be reunited with her cherished husband Alex (deceased Dec. 22, 1988). At her side were her sister-in-law, Josephine Sliwa, her nieces, Sharon Domotor and Candace Armbruster of Saskatchewan. Also surviving are nephews, Brian and Gary Waters of Alberta. She will be sadly missed by close friends, Clara Barone and Elizabeth Salci, and Wally and Cathy Osadciw, Michael and Melissa. Predeceased by parents, Anthony and Anna Sliwa; sisters, Mary Christiaens and Amelia “Em” Waters; and brother, Michael “Mick” Sliwa. For many years, Carrie enjoyed volunteering at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre. At her request there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
