Obituary of Alex Semanyk

SEMANYK, Alex It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alexander Semanyk, 84 years of age, on Thursday, September 2, 2010, retired Manager, Cashway (formerly Hamilton Lumber), loving husband for 63 years of Helen (nee Krakana), father of Tom (Linda) of Rockwood, Terri (Richard), and Nickolas all of Ottawa, proud Grandpa of Mike (Allison) of Rockwood, Charles and Josh Shanbaum, Owen Semanyk and Becca Wilson, all of Ottawa. Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Ann Butler (Terry), of Scarborough, predeceased by his sister, Stella Wagstaffe (Paul) of Glen Williams, and predeceased by his sister, Irene Mahoney, of Sarnia. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek (due to road construction enter from King Street) on Monday, September 6th from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 7th at 11 a.m.
