Obituary of Pauline Sears

SEARS, Pauline "Poppy" Peacefully, with her family at her side, at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, February 9, 2009, in her 77th year. Loving mother of Suzanne Sears, Lew and his wife Susan, Brenda and her partner Alex Dart, Cyndi and her husband Keith Summers. Adoring grandmother of Amanda and her fiance Chris Goodman; Derek, Ryan and Sean Sears, Alex, Samantha and Rebecca Summers and Kirsten Strieck. Proud great-grandmother of Kathryn and Anna. Survived by her siblings Chris Patterson and Brian Griffith and their spouses Bud and Audrey. Predeceased by her mother Bessie, sister Val and her beloved dog Benji. Family was always #1 to Poppy, but she also loved being a long time employee of Tim Horton's, Stoney Creek. She enjoyed her customers and was honoured to receive the long service award. Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their kindness. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow.
