Obituary of Lyle Searles

SEARLES, Lyle The Lord took unto himself his good and faithful servant Lyle Searles at St. Joseph's Hospital on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in his 84th year. Leaving behind his loving and devoted wife of 62 plus years Joyce (Harding), his daughter Sue with whom he had a special bond and her husband Bill Green. Predeceased by his son Mark and by his son-in-law Fred Smith. Father-in-law of Ann. Best loving Poppa of James, Brandon, Amie, Kristy, Danny, Michael, Little Joe and GP Lyle to Skylar, Lucas, Tristan and Maddelynn. Dear brother of Jack and his wife Fern. Predeceased by his sister Sylvia and her husband Kitch Hopkins. Uncle of Ron and his wife Sandra, Joan and her husband George, Norma Jean and her husband Ron and Karen, Ken, Lynda, Diane, Jeff, Doreen, the late Bob, Don, Jane, Barry and their spouses and families. Lyle was a life long member of Westside Baptist Church where he was involved in many different areas. He was a humble man with simple tastes. Special thanks to the staff in the Urology Department at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion. A Private Family Interment Service will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown. A Memorial Service will be held at Westside Baptist Church, 261 Whitney Ave., Hamilton on Friday, October 24th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow downstairs.
