Obituary of Arthur Scully

SCULLY, Arthur Peacefully at Ridgeview LTCC on Saturday, December 26, 2009, in his 86th year. Husband of the late Joan (Gilbourne). Beloved father of Steve and his wife Karen and Eileen and her husband Dave Laity. Loving grandfather of Erin and her husband Jeff Cairns, Christine and her husband Corey Sparks, Mathew Scully, Shayne Laity and his wife Dana and Shannon Laity and great-grandfather of Emily and Aubyn. Dear brother of Derek Scully and Iris Whittle both of England. Predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Kenneth and by his sister Joyce Clarke. Arthur was a WW II veteran serving on the Royal Navy submarine Sirdar, was a member of the Brick and Allied Craft Union of Canada, Local 1 for over 50 years and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #622. The family would like to thank the staff of Sara Calder House, Ridgeview for the loving care they gave Dad over the last four years. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
