Obituary of Anne Schultz
SCHULTZ, Anne (Droste)
With saddened hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the very sudden passing of Anne Schultz on December 23, 2010 in Cesena, Italy while celebrating Christmas with family. Sadly, her husband of 62 years, Guenter passed away this past July. Anne is survived by her loving son, Manfred and wife Carol (Vancouver, B.C.) and daughter Christina and Jeff (Hamilton) and her loving grandchildren, Meriah, Karyna, Julianna, Amara, Christie and Sarah. Anne was always full of life and wanderlust right to her last day as she was on an around the world trip to Europe and Thailand. She had shared this spirit with all who knew her. Her thirst for knowledge and acute memory were always present making her a very special librarian, teacher, traveller, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her sense of humour, loyalty, sense of adventure, love of cooking and homemaker extraordinaire will be sadly missed by us all. Guenter and Anne shared many fulfilling years exploring and travelling throughout Europe and their beloved second home, Mexico and Thailand during many years of retirement. We miss her but feel her spirit with us in our daily life and are happy that Guenter and Anne are re-united in peace. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Anne's Life will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Saturday, February 19 at 1 p.m., followed by Anne's favourite "Kaffeeklatch" at the James Lee Suites (24 Mountain Avenue South, Stoney Creek). As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dr. Bob. Kemp Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences made be given at www.donaldvbrown.ca
