Obituary of Mathilde (Tilla) Schrader

SCHRADER, (Tilla) Mathilde (nee Schaub) Peacefully at Idlewyld Manor LTC on July 29, 2012, in her 85th year, after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Loving wife for 52 years of Willie (deceased). Loving mother to Brigitte (Steve), Doris (Jim), John (Kathy). Precious Oma to Terry (Nancy), Christopher, Tara, Heather, David, Emily, and Riley. Great-Oma to Michael, Jacqueline, and Kostyn. Mom unconditionally loved and devoted her life to her family. Predeceased by her sisters Gerda and Hilde, and brother Karl-Heinz. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mathilde loved to sing, and was a faithful member of the Germania Club Choir from 1953 until 2004. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, August 2nd at 12:00 with the service to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Idlewyld Manor. To the wonderful staff on Creekside, our sincere thanks for the kind compassion and exceptional care you provided our mom and for your constant, heartfelt support to our family throughout the past 7 years.
