My prayers and thoughts are with the family as they mourn the loss of Larry. Larry was my vice-principal at Cathedral Girls' High School when I first became Principal. He was a great example to the students of a Catholic educator. I am sorry that I am unable to be present at the funeral. Mass will be offered for Larry and his family at Regis College in Toronto.

We were truly sad to hear of Larry's passing.
I (Mike) used to crew for him when I lived in Grimsby and Larry had his sailboat at Fifty Point. Spent many pleasant hours together on the lake. I always admired his intelligence and sartorial elegance! He was a great principal and a loyal friend. You have our deepest condolences.

My sincerest condolences. Larry was my VP at Cathedral Girls, then he took me on as a teacher at SJB. He was transferred to BR, and then brought me down there a few years later. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him and I am so sad that he is no longer with us. He was truly one of the last of the 'good guys' in administration.

It was an honour having you as my high school principal at Brébeuf. Managing two campuses may have been tough enough for you; but when it was all brought together under one roof at the former Southmount, it truly got even crazier with about 1700 ethnically and economically diverse students under one roof; and even you admitted a high school in Hamilton in those days should have had no more than 1200. Somehow and through it all, you ran a tight but fair ship, and still you kept it fun and you never forgot a single face. It was an honour having known you, and it goes without saying you set a very high bar for your fellow principals in town. God bless you, sir.

I am deeply saddened to read of the passing of Larry. I had the pleasure of being a teacher when he was vice-principal at Cardinal Newman and principal at St. Jean de Brebeuf. My recollection of him was that no matter what problems were brought to his attention, he always reacted in a calm but quick-minded manner and demonstrated understanding and fairness to staff, to students, and to their parents. He was a good man who will be missed by all those who knew him. I extend my sincere condolences to his family.

My sympathy goes out to Larry's family. As a teacher, he was my Principal for many years and two schools. He was instrumental in guiding me towards a leadership role in education. He always calmed my idealism with realism. I greatly admired him and will miss him.

My sincerest condolences on your loss. I had the privilege of working with Larry for some years. His skills as an administrator, his sense of humour and his deep seated humanity made work more like play. I wish I could express my condolences personally but I am out of country. Sincere condolences to Larry's wife, children and grandchildren. I worked for Larry as a secretary at St. Jean de Brébeuf for several years while he was Vice Principal and Principal. He was a wonderful administrator who always listened and had a way of helping you find a solution to your problem in a calm and accepting manner. We shared many wonderful memories and I was so happy to see him at our homecoming in October. I am sorry that I am unable to express my condolences in person as I am out of the country. Always remembered in our thoughts and prayers. You will be missed by your family and many friends.
