SAWCHUK, Donald
Suddenly at his home in Hamilton on Monday, March 9, 2009 at the age of 69 years by the side of his beloved wife and best friend of 45 years, Deanna (Dee)(Kitching). Beloved father of Don of British Columbia. Predeceased by his son David, by his parents Thomas and Anna Sawchuk, his brother Bill and his niece Judy Sawchuk. Dear brother-in-law of Alan and his wife Judy Kitching and Alana Kitching. Will be sadly missed by his several nieces, nephews and their families. Don was an employee of Coca Cola for many years as office manager of Kobe Fabrics and more recently employed by Active Courier where he enjoyed working with his co-workers at Ron Powell Parts and Service. He was an avid sports enthusiast actively participating in baseball, football and hockey during his earlier years and passed along his enthusiasm to his sons. Don was always a selfless man putting his family’s needs ahead of his own. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 13 at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow.
