Obituary of Sylvia Blackett

BLACKETT, Sylvia (nee Popiduk) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Sylvia, in her home on March 8th in her 72nd year. Loving mother of Norm and his wife Dale, Kim, Cheryl and her husband Michel and Lori. Cherished Grammie of Christopher, Tara, Brandy, Chanel and Great-Grammie to Bella. Dearest sister of Elaine, who was her rock, her kind friend and patient caregiver. Our heartfelt thanks to Auntie Lainey for all she has unselfishly done. Special thanks to Deb Bujara for her kindness to Mom and our family. We will never forget Mom’s strength and perseverance. Her tremendous energy, love and dedication towards her family will always be remembered. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday March 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
