When I think of your Mom what I always picture is her in the days of the Fennel Ave. Dairy Queen and at her home donning an apron and the baking that came out of her kitchen and always a good time be it at the Dairy Queen or family get togethers! David, Jackie and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

I am Jackie's brother-in-law.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Cille for the past several years that my brother Ray has been with Jackie.
I will always remember Cille as part of our extended family. On special occassions and family dinners she was always a valued part as the senior member or grandmother figure of our group. Of course her contributions to the meal were enjoyed by all as was her input to the conversation. She was a very lovable lady and she will always be remembered fondly by myself and my immediate family. My heart goes out to Jackie and everyone who knew her and she will be missed and her memories treasured.

My sincere sympathy to all of you whose lives have been touched by Mrs. Rose. What a fine woman to have know. As others have said, but it never hurts repeating, Mrs. Rose was truly an intelligent, gentlewoman in every aspect of her life. She was certainly an inspiration to me and I have drawn from her examples many times. I am proud to have been a part of her family. I wish for all of you that the warmth of your memories of Mrs. Rose will soften the loss you are feeling now.

Dear Jackie and David: Sorry to hear of your mother's death. I remember working at the Dairy Queen on Upper James in the early sixties with your mom and dad and the two of you. Those were days of fun and laughter. I know you will miss your mom a lot.

Soon after I met Jackie, we were invited by Lucille for dinner at her home. Lucille was warm and friendly and very protective of her daughter.
When we annouced that we planned to marry, Lucille was warm and friendly and very protective of her daughter.
We were joined in a simple ceremony by Lucille and Freda and my parents, John and Gwen. Again, Lucille was warm and friendly and oh yes, very protective of her daughter.
Often, Lucille would casually ask me, "What have you done to my kid?" I remember telling Jackie how much I loved her mother's humour. Of course Jackie quickly pointed out that in this instance she was not joking, she was just being very protective of her daughter.
It was my good fortune to have Lucille as my mother-in-law, she was open, friendly, intuitive and very protective of her daughter. I will miss her and her famous coconut cream pies.
David, my sincere condolences to you and your family for your loss.

As employees of the Rose family, we were keenly aware of Mrs. Rose's kind, calm and caring demeanour. She always exhibited class and warmth.
The prose included with her OBIT was most touching.
Our sincere condolences to Jackie and David.

It is with heavy heart I say a last good-bye to Lucille Rose. I could not have asked for a kinder, more caring Mother-in-Law. She welcomed me into the family with open arms and a loving heart. While our time spent together was not as often as we would have liked, the time we did have was very special and filled with wonderful memories--telling ghost stories, picking strawberries in the back yard, drinking wine on a back deck at a Queensland cottage, just to name a few. Her legacy of love lives on in her children, her grandchildren and her great grandson...what wonderful gifts to give the world! We will miss you, Cille, God Bless you and watch over us!
