Dear Pat and Richard, I am so sorry for the lost of your wonderful mother. I fondly remember 'Mrs. Rogers' always having a treat for the neighborhood kids, allowing me to play and join in the card games with the ladies, giving me a cup of tea, and good advise, I still have the sweater she knitted when I was pregnant for my first child 32 years ago, it is a beautiful girls sweater...she so wanted me to have a girl...perhaps one day it will go to a special baby girl...My heart is filled with very fond memories of your mom, I am sorry I was not able to make the service. My prayers and thoughts are sent to you and the family, your mom would want to see the smiles she loved, and would wipe your tears away, with a word of encouragement..and firm advice with a strong but meaningful hand.
