Unfortunately, I only knew Ric for a few short years, but I always felt that we enjoyed each other's company.
Whether chopping up a golf course together, shooting pool, (he always went easy on me) or just having a few laughs at Chaps, I appreciated his quiet, unimposing intelligence. Wherever you are, Buddy, I hope you've got Steely Dan on the box and a cold one in your hand.
