Obituary of Florence (Meg) Maria Robitaille
ROBITAILLE, Florence Maria (Meg) Peacefully at McMaster University Medical Centre, Hamilton, on December 26, 2007, in her 89th year. Survived by her sister Irene Goodwin of Kingswinford, England. Loving mother of Margaret (Al) Toner of Fenwick, Jane (John) Goodwin of Hamilton, and Joanne (Mario) Poletto of Winona. Also survived by grandchildren; Jim and Eric Toner, John Matthew (Kim) Goodwin, and Frank, Vanessa and Lisa Poletto. Meg was an active member of Our Saviour the Redeemer Church, a former volunteer for the Cancer Society, former member of Club 60, A.C.W. (Redeemer), the Legion, and Bible study (Cheyne Presbyterian Church), all in Stoney Creek. Meg served in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, Special Operations Fighter Command in London, England, during World War 2. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Our Saviour the Redeemer Church (Lake Ave. South of King St.). on Saturday, December 29th at 11 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
