Ron, Erin, Reed and family
We were both shocked and saddened by the news of Wendy's passing. There are no words to express our deepest sympathy to your family.
I have many fond memories of my time working with Wendy, especially our adventure to Costa Rica, many trips to Wanakita, shared family stories, great maple syrup and the fun(?) of YMCA budgets as well as fundraising for synchronized swimming.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
Sincerest regards,
Brenda and Jim Gervais

Wendy and I graduated from Mohawk College together from the Class of '88. I remember she won the Academic Excellence award for our Business Administration program (an extremely deserving recipient)...I also remember that she brought Erin up on the stage with her to receive it - it was obvious how much it meant to her to have her daughter share in that moment with her. After graduating the CMA program with her as well, we lost touch, as sadly can happen such in life...she was at the YMCA at that time, just starting out. Reading the remembrances of her from people who knew her dearly since then, I can see that she did not change at all - I recognize her smile and can still hear her laugh. To all her beloved family, I am SO very sorry to hear of her passing. Cherished memories can never be taken from you...my sincere condolences.
Rest in peace, Wendy

Wendy was brilliant, driven, fun and unbelievably energetic. Her work ethic and desire to get things done was contagious and I loved working with her. She would challenge conventional wisdom and ask very informed questions. I miss her terrbily already and I know the the Y is so much better due to her time with us.
Wendy and I developed a good friendship and she used to talk so highly of her family - my sincere condolences for your incredible loss, please be comforted by the fact that Wendy did make the world better in her brief time here. She made a real impact of the lives of many other people through both her direct kindness but also through her work with the Y.
I miss you Wendy.

It was with great sadness that I read about Wendy's passing. Wendy and I worked together on a few national Y projects over the years and although I only saw her face to face 5-6 times, I knew her to be thoughtful and kind, with a brilliant and sharp mind. She talked often about her family - we shared our thrill of becoming grandmothers. I will miss her. My deepest condolences to her family.

We have been friends of Wendy and Ron for over 28 years. Wendy and I (Karen) worked together at Income Trust Company back when Wendy was still going to Mohawk college. She was interviewed by the Comptroller and was asked what her future plans were, to which she responded "I want your job!". It wasn't too long before he started handing off some of his work to her which she accepted gladly!
On the day she married Ron, she was one of the most beautiful brides that I'd ever seen. The joy and happiness she was feeling on that day radiated from and around her. She told me once, one of her most wonderful accomplishments in life was giving birth to Erin and Reed. She was a wonderful person and I will always remember her with great admiration and affection.
Wishing Ron and his family very sincere sympathy.
Love Paul and Karen Crandall
