Obituary of Stan Bilyj

BILYJ, Stan - Suddenly at the Henderson General Hospital on Thursday, November 8, 2007, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Janet. Beloved father of Diane and her husband Scott Donaldson. Predeceased by his son Stanley and his parents Nick and Kathryna Bilyj. Father of stepchildren Judy Fines, Sue and Dave Post, Heather Thombs, Jason and Jarmila Groocock, Tammy and Steve Peebles. Loving papa to his many grand-children Katy, Alex, Kyle, Laura, Matt, Amanda, Paige, Hailey, Jacob, Michael, Grace and Katelyn. Stan was an avid bowler and golfer, a long time member at King's Forest Golf Club, a member of Local 1005 Steelworkers Union and was an electrician at Stelco #2 Rod Mill until his retirement in 1998. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, November 12 at 1 p.m. Interment Mountview Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
