Obituary of Frank Howard James Pratt
PRATT, Frank Howard James (Veteran of World War II serving with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada Princess Louise's for 56 years, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 163, volunteer with St. Peter's Hospital, Meals on Wheels and retired employee of Dofasco with 46 years of service) Peacefully and with dignity, after an incredibly brave battle, at St. Peter's Hospital with his family at his side, on Sunday, March 15, 2009, in his 84th year. Frank Pratt, predeceased by his wife Betty and his parents Bertha and James. Dear father of Dawson (Sheila), Kevin (Judy), Shawn (Lynn), Erin (Ross Alward) and Reagan (Christine). Loved grandfather of Brooke (Dave), Devin, Lara, Joel, Amanda (Demetri), Laura, Cullen, Matthew, Jennifer, Jeremy, Michael (Sarah), Sophia and Ainslie. Brother of Prema (Bill McKelivie) of Halifax. Brother-in-law of Jeanne Brands of Scarborough. Frank will be dearly missed by his comrades Morley Balinson, Joan Balinson and Lynn Hambleton. The family will receive friends at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. Peter's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by Frank's family.
