I just received word today. My deepest sympathy to you Michelle and your family. Never in my 37 years of service have I ever met soldier more creative, more motivated, or so full of life as Larry. I lost contact after he left the forces but I never forgot the spirit. Larry and I did the Parachute Instructor, and Jump Master Courses together. We had sooooo much fun it was an impact on my life for ever. I'm at awe that he has passed. You have lost a great father, friend, and such we lost a brother at arms and a soldier at heart. He was a class act with the Airborne Armoured Recce guys, well respected for his leadership and personality. Rest in peace Fire Fighter your work is done. !!!!!!!!!Badger!!!!!

My sincere condolences to Larry's family and I am so sorry for your loss.
Larry was a great buddy in high school. I haven't seen him in years but when I heard he passed I was literally shocked. There was a bunch of us that hung out...all became firefighters, paramedics...and even a few cops. Go figure. Some of us were even soldiers first.
Lar spent his life in the service of others and, rest assured, there is a special spot set aside for him on the other side.

I grew up with Larry and we attended Army Cadets together for many years. He was an asset to the cadet movement and made our training nights enjoyable. He respected the youth and but also instilled morals and values in them.to his wife I never had the pleasure of meeting you,and to his two daughters....growing up with Larry was always a laugh no matter how hard your day was he made a joke or comment just to make you smile. It's a Power Family thug cause they a very friendly family and some how makes people smile and sometimes will make you "bust at the gut laugh"! RIP Larry

To Ann, Rose, Dave (it's been a long time) and the rest of the Power family, I just heard about the passing of Larry and it broke my heart.
I worked with Larry in Petawawa back in the 80's while we were both with the 8th Canadian Hussars and I can honestly say I will never forget him. He worked hard at any task he was given and he easily gained the respect, admiration and friendship of all that crossed his path. He always liked to laugh and had no effort to get the troops laughing with him. He was a great morale booster.
Rest in peace Larry my friend, you will be missed for sure.
And to all in Heaven, get ready, you have no idea what your in for.

It is with heartfelt saddness that we learned of Larry's passing. From young kids beating the paths and backwoods of Jersey Side to Army buddies and on into the responsibilities of adulthood Larry took everything in stride with a smile on his face. We were cousins first and friends always. The happiest I ever seen him was the day he married his beautiful bride Michelle.
Michelle, Melissa and Brittany take comfort in the fact that Larry loved you and will miss you as much as you will miss him. Keep his memories with you for all times.

May it comfort you all to know that you are thought about at this sad time. Treasure the memories! RIP Larry.
