Obituary of Jean Forstmann Pomfret

POMFRET, Jean Forstmann (nee Vanderburgh) Peacefully at her home in Binbrook, on Monday, August 4, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Forstmann (1981) and loved wife of the late Ray Pomfret (2002). Daughter of the late Dr. William (1956) and Gladys (1958) Vanderburgh. Predeceased by her brother George (1980) and his wife Dorothy (1979) of Grimsby, by their daughters Carol (1982) and Cynthia (1987) and son Scott (1988) and by her brother William (1968) of Hamilton. Survived by her sister Mary (the late Arthur Downer 2006) and family, by her brother and sister-in-law James and Marg Vanderburgh of Beamsville. Will be fondly remembered by her several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Stepmother to Lawrence James, David Allen Pomfret and Janice Pomfret MacCormack. Jean was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing 1957. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Green Presbyterian Church, 360 Isaac Brock Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday, August 9 at 1 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Furnace Fund at Heritage Green Presbyterian Church, 360 Isaac Brock Dr., Stoney Creek L8J 2R2 would be appreciated by the family.
