Obituary of Melvina May Poirier

POIRIER, Melvina May Peacefully, at Macassa Lodge, with her family by her side, on Sunday, March 21, 2010 in her 82nd year. Beloved companion of the late Graham Bell. Loving mother to Dianne McIntyre (Harvey), John Edward Poirier (Sandy), Marie Poirier (Stuart), Joseph Stanley Poirier (Diane), Florence Cumbo (Pasquale) and step-daughter Marilyn Bell. Also survived by son-in-law Johnny Gallant. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Florence Perry and daughters Eva Gallant and Linda Perry. Will be missed by her sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Eva and the late Frank MacDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone at Macassa Lodge and at the Henderson Hospital for all of their compassion and care, Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. Prayers at the Funeral Home Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, (Kenilworh Ave. and Cannon St.) on Thursday, March 25th at 10 a.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
