PLUIM, Anna It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful lady at the age of 96 at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre in Brantford on Saturday, October 4, 2008. Anna Pluim, predeceased by her husband Wilhelm, her infant twin daughters Mary and Augustina, her parents Fokje and Wietze Wouters, and her brothers Tjeerd, Andy and John Wouters. Dear mother of Flora Roberts (Sam) of Hamilton, William Pluim (Carolyn) of Brantford, Wietze Pluim (Bea) of Welland, Augustina Sturgess (Doug) of Port Elgin and Albert Pluim (Susan) of Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Mark, Anamarie, Scott, Alison, Carolyn, Laura, Aaron, Adam, Tyler and David. She will be sadly missed by 8 great-grandchildren. Anna was born in Friesland, Holland in 1912 where she met and married Wilhelm. They immigrated to Canada in 1948 settling in the Mount Hope area. Anna enjoyed family gatherings, music and a good laugh. Special thanks to her daughter-in-law Marilyn Pluim, the Staff at Tranquility Place, Brantford General Hospital and St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre as well as her friends who visited and made the last 4 years of her life a happy time. The family will receive friends at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
