I can still hear her saying “You’re going to miss me when I’m gone” with that big grin and little giggle at the end. Her memory is a keepsake with which I’ll never part.

From:Tom and Carol Turner: It was always our pleasure to visit with your Mom. We loved listening to her talk about Stoney Creek. For Tom it was a walk down memory lane as he was born and raised in Stoney Creek, and lived very close to the Gilvear family home on Lake Ave. I thought of it as a very interesting history lesson, having moved to this area in the early sixties. We always referred to Ruth (with great affection) as the Stoney Creek Historian. She was an amazing lady. Our sincerest sympathies go out to all of her family.
