PAGE, Herbert Kenneth Sr. (Ken) After a lengthy illness, Ken passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Edna (Hindle) for 62 years. Loving father of Ken and his wife Diane, Sandra and her husband Larry Cryderman, Brian and his wife Jackie, Donny and his wife Cindy, Wendy and her husband Steve Spies and Carrie and her husband Dave Shaw. Dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Art Page and his wife Dorothy and 3 sisters. Will also be missed by sisters in law Elsie and her husband Milt Purvis, Evelyn and her late husband Doug Livingstone, and the late Gladys and Earle Ellis along with many nieces and nephews. Ken was a member of, a Past Master of T.H. Simpson Masonic Lodge and a member of Wentworth Masonic Lodge, Past Patron–Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Scottish Rite, the Hamilton Shrine Club and the Winona Men’s Club. Ken was a retired employee of Dofasco with 26 years of service and was a Home Builder and Contractor for many years in the Hamilton-Wentworth area. The family would like to thank the Staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Hamilton General and West Lincoln Hospital and particularly Dr. Deegan for all of their compassion and care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge services will be held Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, St. Andrews Avenue and Highway 8, Grimsby, on Saturday, May 29th at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton Shrine Club or St. Andrew’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
