Obituary of Dorothy Ellen Page

PAGE, Dorothy Ellen Dorothy passed away at home with her devoted family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on November 9, 2011 at the age of 81. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Art (November 28, 2001). Devoted mother to Larry (Margaret Morgan), Jerry (Joanne) and Chris (Marian). Loving grandmother to Jordan, Nicole (George Papadakis) and Graham, Julia, Matthew (Marisa) and Adrian, Monica and Steven. Dorothy was also great-grandmother to Bentley. Dorothy is also survived by her Aunts, Grace Whittle and Irene Lee. She was sister-in-law to Edna (late Ken Page, 2011) and niece to George and Velma Page. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her dear friends Margaret and Bob Keys and family. Dorothy was an active member for over 70 years in the Anglican Church choir, having been with The Church of the Nativity (formerly St. Mary's) for the past 47 years. She enjoyed several social clubs including the Dofasco Retirees, the Red Hats, many euchre clubs and the church Bag Ladies. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeview Retirement Centre for their compassion and care in the past few months. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive in Stoney Creek on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of the Nativity, 1831 King Street East on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
