For Gerry's Family ~ We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Gerry...
She was a very special friend to our Mom, Barbara, whom we lost three years ago. In the short time of one year that Gerry and Mom were together at Shalom Village, table mates and kindred spirits, we will be forever grateful for the warm welcome, laughter and support that Gerry so willingly gave to Mom. A day wouldn't go by that Mom wasn't quoting to us some wisdom prefaced with "Gerry says..."!
One of our fondest memories of Gerry was her love of flowers and her trips to the market to ensure each table in the dining room had fresh flowers each week.
We treasure the memories of visits with Gerry which we continued after losing Mom.
Most memorable was Gerry's love of her family, her recollections of special times with her family and her pride and joy in sharing these stories.
We shall miss Gerry terribly and we are thinking of you all as you prepare to say goodbye to this remarkable lady...
With love and in sympathy, The Reeves Family

From: Holly and Joe Watson: I am so sorry that we cannot be there to offer our condolences personally. I remember your Mum's sense of humour and the special times I spent with her and your dad when we came to the farm. It always seemd like such a welcome and homey atmosphere, and there were always exceptional meals too. One of my favourite memories is going out in the sleigh with the horses pulling us on Christmas. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Love Holly (and Joe)

On behalf of Margaret and Jim and the entire Crusoe family, we wish to send our deepest sympathies.
In their first days at Shalom Village, your mother "Gerry",and our mother "Margaret" were roomates, as well as dining room table mates. That intial contact lead to many years of friendship, which meant so much to our parents and family alike. Your mother had a smile which would light-up a room, accompanied with a quiet and peaceful demeanor. On a personal note; I so enjoyed your mother's keen wit and sense of humour, along with her deep rooted love for the Toronto Blue Jays. When I would be visiting my parents and saw Gerry, even before I had a chance to say hello, she would say; "did you watch the Blue Jays game last night?" That would be followed by an indepth analysis of the game, for the next half hour.
Gerry will forever be remembered in our hearts, and as Gerry always said...."Go Jays!"
With love, Jim Crusoe Jr.
