Dear Pearl and family:
I was reminded of Bill's passing today, when I received a notice from a lady on Hamilton's "Beach strip." It's just over two years ago that God called my Dagmar home--so I have a bit of a sense of what you are experiencing now. And my prayer is that our loving Father will comfort and bless each of you, and keep you in His care, according to His promise.

Dearest Pearl;
It must have been so difficult to say goodbye to your dearest friend, Bill. What a wonderful, godly man. We appreciated him so much. We are praying for you as you learn to live life without him, but rejoicing with him as he meets his Saviour in Heaven!
Love and Prayers always,
Doug and Carol

We first came to know Bill as a leader in the C&MA church, where his wisdom in matters of the kingdom were so evident and beneficial to all of us.Later we were privileged to work with Bill from the Board of World Vision Canada where his leadership as a Christian and a compassionate humanitarian left a lasting legacy in Canada and in many parts of a hurting world. He loved God and loved people-especially the needy children. And you were alongside in all of it.
Pearl,it was always so special to us to see you both come into the WVC gatherings, always loving, always gracious, always with that wonderful sense of humour.
Ours prayers and hearts are with you, your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as Bill goes to the presence of his Lord, where one day there will be a wondrous reunion.
We love you and share your loss,
Ron and Elizabeth.

Dear: Pearl, Darlane, Heather, Philip and Japhia.
I cried for quite some time when I heard the news of the passing of your beloved husband Bill and your wonderful father. God is the God of all comfort. He sees and He knows. He will be there for all of you to take care of your hearts. Bill was such a special man. His love for God and other people knew no bounds.
I have so many wonderful memories of your dad, Pearl (mum) and all of you in my heart. You are all on my mind and in my heart and in my prayers. I sorrow now but I will joyfully anticipate being with Bill in the new heaven and earth.
God Bless you all and comfort you all as only He can.
Much love, Paula

Dear John Philip and Family.
Wishing you Heartfelt Condolences and Happiest Memories in the celebration of your father’s life. We are fortunate to have had your father’s past leadership and energies in helping share our country’s resources and blessings with so many other countries in need. As well as within Canada itself. I am a Director on the Board of an Anglican-led community ministry which serves some of the neediest and most diverse refugees and new arrivals in Canada, to which World Vision has lent much financial and moral support.
Leaside salutes a former resident and great Canadian, and the legacy of compassion and service which continues on in his son and family.

Dear Darlene Heather Philip and Japhia,
Just two years ago I stood where you will stand on Saturday. Your hearts broken but knowing that what your Dad preached all his life is his now. Heaven!
I am sorry we will not be able to attend due to a family wedding in Nashville.
During those days of pain and sorrow I was comforted by "With man "this"( the whole business of death and loss) is impossible but with GOD all things are possible Matt 19:26" I chose to excercise my FAITH and found comfort in the verse.
My heart aches for all of you, your Dad was a wonderful gracious man!

My heart goes out to you Pearl. Unfortuantley I am Nashville celebrating my granddaughters wedding. Two years on the 19 you came and stood beside me in my hour of grief. In my heart I shall stand beside you.
Isn't wonderful to know we will see both of them again as our hearts remember them.
Be strong and of good courage.
We stand alone now but only for a short while until we will be reunited with Jesus and our special men in heaven.

Dear Pearl and Family – while it is always sad to lose a loved one, we know that Bill is with the Lord he loved and served all his life. He leaves a wonderful legacy of compassion, commitment and deep faith. He also leaves a family he loved dearly. As I reflect on those years when we worked together at World Vision there is a flood of memories. I have so much that I owe to Bill, so I join you in your sadness at losing him. As you say good bye to a dear husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather – not forever – but until you see him again – may you have a real sense of God’s abiding presence and peace.
With love and sincere condolences, Linda Tripp
