Obituary of Norman Murray
MURRAY, Norman
At his home in Stoney Creek on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in his 81st year, with his loving wife, Marie, at his side. Norm lived life fully: travelling extensively and embracing every experience and every moment with great vigour, humour and spontaneity. Norm and Marie had 32 incredible years together, living each day to its fullest, driving throughout Canada and the US, visiting Europe and making the trip to Sedona, Arizona every winter, where they shared a love of the desert landscape and small town setting. Norm worked 37 years at Stelco, driving taxi and then an airport bus in his spare time. He loved people and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a caring stepdad to Cheryl and his son-in-law Julian Richings, and role model to grandchildren, Frederick and Rosemary, who will always remember his vitality and individuality. He leaves behind many friends and family, including Marie's son, Tom May and granddaughter, Jessie. After a valiant fight with cancer, Norm bid us farewell, " I have never loved anyone as much as I do Marie. I am sorry to leave, but if this is what God wants, then, I am ready. I'll see you some day. " Funeral Service will take place at Twenty Valley Community Church, 3994 Victoria Avenue, Vineland on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment at Vineland Cemetery. www.donaldvbrown.ca
