From: Bill and Doreen Bouwhuis. Almost made it to 30 years as our closest friends. Neil, you will live on in our hearts. We especially will remember our many trips together, cramped in the same car, boat, or bus over the course of thousands of miles, and never a complaint. Neil's ability to laugh at troubles, especially the minor misfortunes of others, made sense in a strange way and kept us from being too serious about minor bumps in the road of life. We laughed so many times about the two little old ladies in the mall who were disgusted by an ill wind that came their way. I want all to know that Neil donated a lot of time and effort to help me finish a hot rod, and I know he did it for others never expecting anything but a thank-you. It was his way.
