Obituary of Angela Mary Murphy

MURPHY, Angela Mary (nee Keelan) Passed away peacefully at her residence, on Friday, March 6, 2009, in her 52nd year. Beloved and devoted mother of Brendan. Predeceased by her mother Rita (Meehan) Keelan, October 1988 and father James, December 1993 and her husband Brian, June 2004. Angela will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of the Meehan, Hughes, Keelan, Giffin and Pizziol families in Canada, Ireland and the United States and lovingly remembered by very special and dear friends John Carroll and Emily Barrick. Angela's inner glow shone and attracted all those who came in contact with her. This was especially evident with the New Dawn Chapter, Hamilton of Parents Without Partners, in her capacities as newsletter editor, new membership director, member of the board and numerous other responsibilities. Angela was also a past president and secretary of Newcomers Club, Stoney Creek and a volunteer with the Wellwood Cancer support group. Angela's commitment to her family, friends and community was freely given with genuine kindness and concern, drawn from her tremendous inner strength. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. A Celebration of Angela's Life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. www.donaldvbrown.ca
