Obituary of Joyce Shirley Morris

MORRIS, Joyce Shirley (Lees) (February 8, 1930-November 15, 2012) Passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord, at the Juravinski Hospital. Beloved wife of Lennard. Daughter of the late Violet and James Lees. Loving mother of Paul (Bernadette), Deborah (Daryl), Kevin, Nansi (Burl), Cyndie, Bronwen, Sharlene (Cameron). Cherished grandmother of eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by granddaughters Taryn and Rachel. Dear sister of Muriel Wheeler and the late Rose Halford. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Joyce was raised at Barton St. Salvation Army and became a Member of Bethel Tabernacle. She was a Member of the Salvation Army Golden Agers, Woman’s Ministries-Meadowlands and Club 55+ Dundas, and the Salvation Army Mountain Toppers. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 only. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, November 19, 2012 at10 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
