Obituary of Mary Moore

MOORE, Mary Peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday January 4, 2011, at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Moore. Beloved and Dear Aunt of Betty Monas of Arizona, Ethel Martin (Dick) of Pennsylvania, Doreen Emberley of Winona, Rosalee Thomson of Illinois, the late Evelyn Lieberman (Jack) of South Carolina, George Emmons (Lil) of Alberta, June Borneman (Dale) of Pennsylvania, Linda MacLaren (John) of Michigan, many great nieces and nephews and 2 “granddaughters” Alayna Herninko of Pennsylvania and Alegra Midgley of Texas. Marys was a lifelong member of Garside Bible Church and most recently attended Winona Gospel Church. After teaching 22 years Mary ended retired from Eastdale Elementary School in Stoney Creek. She also started and ran the Moore’s Book Store for 15 years which later became Emmanuel Christian Book Store. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday January 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Winona Gospel Church on Saturday, January 8th at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the church. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In Mary’s memory, donations to Garside Bible Church, Winona Gospel Church or the Cancer Society as she is a 46 yr. cancer survivor, would be appreciated. What an exemplary life she lived! She was an inspiration to us all.
