Obituary of Mary(Mae) Paisley (nee Agnew) Moffatt

MOFFATT, Mary (Mae) Paisley (nee Agnew) Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald B. Moffatt (1994). Dear mother of Elizabeth and Lance Johnson, Donald, Bernard, Robert and Denise, Lois and Cam Woods. Mom was a very proud and loving grandma to 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Agnew and siblings Samuel and Mae, William, Thomas, George and Margaret, Florence Fisher, Robert and Bette. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Olive Agnew, Eileen Agnew, Christina (Moffatt) and Frank Piper, Jack Fisher and many nieces and nephews. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire ICU staff for the wonderful care that Mom received and also for the compassion shown to our family. We would also like to thank Dr. E. Carlisle, Dr. B. Alton and the great dialysis team at St. Joseph’s CCHC for their dedication and kindness to Mom. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment at Caledonia Cemetery following the reception. Donations to Family Bible Hour, Teen Challenge or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
