Obituary of Juanita Mitchell

MITCHELL, Juanita After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in her 83 year. Beloved wife of Bill for over 63 years. Devoted mother of Bert (Sue), Wendy (Steve) and Jana (Doug). Grandma will always be cherished by her grandchildren Stacy, Susan (Chad), Shana (Dave), Brett (Caryn), Craig (Caroline), Grant and Neil. Loved Great-Grandma of Brice, Gregory, Hayden, Travis and will be dearly missed by her sister Gayle. Juanita has contributed many years of loyal service to her community by her volunteer work with Seniors Outreach Service Stoney Creek, Stoney Creek Historical Society, Meals on Wheels and St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Hamilton Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Seniors Outreach Service, S.P.C.A or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
