Obituary of Christine Mitchell

MITCHELL, Christine (nee Hewitt) Suddenly, at her residence, Christine passed away Christmas morning, at the age of 61 years. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Melanie Heaney (Gavin) and son Derek Mitchell (Marina); and three grand-children, Liam and Molly Heaney, and Leonard Mitchell. Dear daughter of Leonard and Reta Hewitt and loving sister of Carol Pyke (Dale) and of brother-in-law Walter Liber. Pre-deceased by her sister Cathy Liber. Blessed with a friendly personality, she loved painting, crafts, music, and especially family get-togethers. She will be deeply missed by all. A gathering to celebrate her life at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, will be held on Saturday, December 29th at 2 p.m. with visitation from 1 p.m. until the service time. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Stoney Creek United Church.
