Obituary of Harry Minken

MINKEN, Harry Peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in his 86th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Olga (nee Koocher). Beloved father of Marianne and her husband Peter Lundgaard of Kelowna, B.C, Rob and his wife Charlene of Flesherton, Joseph of Stoney Creek and Rich and his wife Michele of Stoney Creek. Sadly missed by his five grandchildren Nathan, Carmen, Melissa, Nicholas and Richard. Predeceased by his brothers Bill, George, John, Fred and Murray. Missed by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. Born in Theodore, Saskatchewan, Harry was a veteran of WWII, a retired employee of the CNR (Canadian National Railway) with 34 years of service, a member of the Stoney Creek Legion Branch 622 and a former member of the Stoney Creek Sportsman Club. Special thanks to his good friend Bruce. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m and Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
