BELL, Andrew (Andy) McLeod
At the Clarion Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, a long time resident of Stoney Creek, in his 98th year. Husband of the late Grace (Boyle). Beloved father of Aubrey (Patricia Bennett) of New London, P.E.I. Lovingly remembered by his grandson David Bradley-Bell and David’s mother Laurie Bradley of White Lake, Michigan. Dear brother of Charlie of Edmonton, Alberta. Predeceased by brothers John, Angus and Archie and by sisters Mary and Margaret. Andy was a WWII veteran (Corps of Royal Canadian Engineers, 5th Armoured Division) serving in active duty in the Italian and European Campaigns. After the war he remained in Holland engaged in reconstruction projects until January 1946. He was a retired employee of Heckett Engineering, Hamilton. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Friday from 6-9 p.m. (due to road construction, please follow Second St. North from King St. to right turn on Charles St.). Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 16 at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
