Obituary of Douglas Arthur Belbeck

BELBECK, Douglas Arthur (December 12, 1936 - July 15, 2010) It is with much sadness that we announce Doug's passing, having persevered many health setbacks in his later years. Devoted and much loved husband of Jeannette (Mays) for 48 years. Proud father of Dianna Eakins (Rob) and Jennifer Stretton (Bill) of Burlington, Ontario. Adored "Poppa" of Nick and Lauren Eakins and little Ben Stretton. Also survived by his sister Mary Murphy (Bob). Brother to the late Ivan Belbeck and Joan Power. Doug will be remembered by family, friends and neighbours for his unique sense of humour and kindness. As a long-time owner of Midtown (King and Sherman) Appliances, he made many good friends along the way. The family would like to thank Dr. Amin Mulji, Dr. David Morgan and Dr. Diane Arlen for their thoughtful care. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 19 at 11 a.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
