Obituary of Florence Mellway R.N.

MELLWAY, Florence (Taylor) R.N. The family of Florence Mellway sadly announces her passing on Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Brantford, ON. Born in Shediac Cape, NB, June 18, 1918, Florence was a Canadian Army Nurse in Europe during WWII, and had a distinguished career in nursing for forty years. A former resident of Hamilton and Winona, she is survived by her sons Dale (Lynda) of St. Catharines, Dana (Holly) of Courtney, BC, Dean (Amanda) and Perry (Debbie) all of Ottawa and her daughter Penny (Mike) Wyatt of Brantford, as well as many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by her husband Bob Mellway (2002) and ten brothers and sisters. As Florence requested, cremation and a private family service have taken place. Friends who wish to, may make a donation in her name to a charity of their choice, as Florence proudly contributed to so many charities during her life. (Donald V.
