Obituary of Robert Currie McKnight

McKNIGHT, Robert Currie (Bob) 1928 - 2010 Suddenly on August 5, 2010, after a brief and brilliant fight, Dad lost his battle with cancer. Proud Glaswegian, who came to Canada and eventually retired from Stelco. Predeceased by his wife Ellen, son Robert, daughter Patricia Roque, he leaves to continue on, his daughters Maureen Lachance (David) and Diane Stephan (Ollie). He will be sadly missed by all, especially his grandsons; Mathew (Jen), Andrew (Brielle), Winston and Blake. He has left them from this place but his stories and sayings will stay in their hearts forever. Thank you to the staff of 5F and ICU at the Juravinski Hospital for their caring support of Dad in his final days and hours. It was Robert's wish to be cremated with no visitation or service. He will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and joined with the love of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad's memory can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
