Obituary of Marion Eloise McKay

McKAY, Marion Eloise Suddenly on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Albright Manor, Beamsville. Marion, the daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie Taggart of Stoney Creek, in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Noble McKay of Lindsay in 1992. Marion is survived and mourned by her daughter Marjorie Walton (Joseph) of Beamsville and her son Robert (Elaine) of Pickering. She will be affectionately remembered by her grandchildren Rebecca Davis (Ed), Timothy Walton (Sue), Elizabeth Thompson (Jeremiah), Jillian, and Jacqueline, and her great-grandchildren Olivia, Allison, William, Benjamin, Hannah, and Ian. Marion was the beloved sister of James Taggart (Pat, deceased), Jean Reekie (Bill, deceased) both of Winona, and Ken Taggart (deceased) (Jean Rapley). Will be missed by sister-in-law Vera McKay. Her many nephews, nieces, and friends have abundant fond memories of Marion that they will always cherish. Marion was born in Hamilton, and raised in East Hamilton and Stoney Creek, after which she married Noble McKay of Lindsay, taking up residence there to raise their two children. In 1993, after the loss of her beloved husband, Marion moved to Grimsby, residing there until she moved to Albright Manor in 2008. In accordance with Marion's wishes, a service of remembrance for immediate family and their families was held at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, Stoney Creek. A graveside interment service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay on Tuesday, December 1st, at 1pm. Marion, a lifelong member of the Christadelphian communities at West Ave, Hamilton and Peterborough, maintained her faith to the end. She now awaits her Lord Jesus' return; and the resurrection trumpet (1Thess 4:16). In Marion's memory, donations to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated by the family.
