McEVOY, Phyllis (nee Boorman) After an active and healthy life, peacefully surrounded by her family at home on July 26, 2011 in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Alton McEvoy. Cherished mother of Gary (Heather), Ken (Esther) and Don (Diane). “Gramma Mac” will be sadly missed by Kyle, Ryan, Tyler, Evan, Tosh and Keeley. Survived by her brother Jack and sister Thelma. Predeceased by her brother Bob. Phyllis will always be remembered for her love of life and positive attitude. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Woodburn, 1307 Woodburn Rd., on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
