Obituary of Orville Carl McDiarmid

McDIARMID, Orville Carl Passed away at the Hampton Terrace Care Centre, Burlington on June 19, 2008, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Joyce McDiarmid (Binkley) for 51 years. Dear father of Mary (Barry Campbell), Helen (Barrie Graham), Orville B., Mark (Brenda) and April (Paul Samek). Dear grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Brother of Muriel, Warner (Ruth), Douglas (Shirley), all of Carleton Place. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert McDiarmid, sisters Vera and Doreen, and brothers Gordon, Harold, Clifton, Ross, Elmer, Leonard and Willard. Orville was a retired employee of Dofasco. The family would like to thank everyone at Hampton Terrace, especially the girls and guys in Rose Arbour (they are special people). Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
