McDERMENT, Lois Irene (Turner) nee Baker
Peacefully in her sleep at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre, on Monday, March 28, 2011 in her 85th year, Lois Irene entered into God’s garden. Predeceased by husbands William Richard Turner and William Bruce McDerment and brother Alvin Baker. Survived by brother Ross Baker (Doris), sister Blanche Somerville, sister-in-law Evelyn Cooke, brother-in-law Roy Turner (Beverly), sons Gordon (Debbie), Glenn (Joceline) Steven (Kelly) Turner, daughters Carolyn (Lyall) Marshall and Allyson Turner (Cheddie) and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lois was a member of Trinity United Church, a life member of the U.C.W. and Binbrook Little Theatre. She was known for her green thumb, her crafts and her passion for genealogy. Visitation, Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, Wednesday, March 30, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Memorial Service Thursday, March 31, 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Trinity Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
