Obituary of Gordon Douglas McCready

McCREADY, Gordon Douglas Surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, August 19, 2008, Gordon was called home to be with his Lord. Cherished husband of Carol for 57 years. Loving father of David and his wife Terry, April and her husband Scott Roe, Pamela Foulger, Tricia Inrig and her friend Bill Abbott. Devoted grandfather of Londii McCready and her fiancé Brian Vander Wal, Matthew and Samuel McCready, Zac Roe and his fiancée Sara Cowden, Allie and Autumn Roe, Justin and Ethan Inrig. Gordon was a founding member of Meadow Creek Community Church and served as an adult Bible teacher in many churches throughout Hamilton and Stoney Creek. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially long nature walks, and was an avid rifle marksman. Gordon, also, was very passionate about boxing and martial arts. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home (36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek, Ontario 905-662-2948) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Paramount Drive Alliance Church, Stoney Creek (the corner of Mud and Paramount) Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hamilton Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank Donna Winn and all other staff members on 4 West at St. Peter's Hospital who provided such compassionate care.
