Obituary of Sophie Mazur

MAZUR, Sophie (Wenslawek) Peacefully, at Blackadar Continuing Care, after a long and happy life, on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of John for 69 years. Dear mother of Arlene and Tom Moore of Hamilton (and their children Greg and Kyu, Kasia and Domenic) and John (Jack) and Linda of Akron, Ohio (and their children Jay and Krissy, Arlene, Monica and Erik, Matthew). Lovingly remembered by 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Helen and the late Chester Mielko, the late Polly and late Alex Musial, Steve and Vivian Wenslawek, the late Adele and late Walter Ladniak the late Irene and Gerry Ramsbottom, Henry and the late Gertrude Wenslawek,. Sophie was a 50 year member of the CWL. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Church, 200 Mt. Albion Rd., on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated by the family.
